Some researchers say, people tend to be more consistent at the gym and exercise for longer periods of time when there are people around than when they go alone. I hope you've realised this too.
It's not just the gym, but other parts of our lives.
We see how our works are easily done when we are together than when we do it alone.
That's how God created man, to be together in everything. Even that's how animals(ants especially) work, they all believe in the "strength in numbers".
When God created Adam, he later created Eve to be a helper and also a companion to Adam. This also shows how God values numbers.
There was even a time God was "threatened" by a number of people and if He didn't do something about it, things would have turned out bad. God intervened because he believes in the strength in numbers or togetherness.
Genesis 11:1-5
11 Now the whole world had one language(A) and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar (B) and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks(C) and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone,(D) and tar(E) for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens,(F) so that we may make a name(G) for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered(H) over the face of the whole earth.”(I)
5 But the Lord came down(J) to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language(K) they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us(L) go down(M) and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”(N)
From this text, we can clearly see God even sees the threat and how important and strong unity can be.
With this at the back of our minds, we should refrain from thinking we can do things on our own.
Most of the time, we need people to help us accomplish our goals. We need help from others in terms of ideas, strength, finances,etc.
Being a family
Remember there's strength in numbers and we should always try to work together.
As the saying goes, "two heads are better than one".
