Sometimes, some Christians deny the fact that they are capable of doing some things on their own.
Some resort to their elders or pastors for advices, prayers and other motivational words because they feel these men of God are the only ones who can help them in terms of redemption and getting their prayers answered.
The sermons we hear about satan and all the forces of the evil one sometimes creates some strong fear and anxiety in us to the extent that we start to have doubts about our strength in the Lord.
We try to reflect to the sins we've done and base on that to conclude we are weak without our pastors or leaders. We think they are the ones who can redeem us and protect us. We like to feel that they're the ones that can actually protect us with their prayers, thinking God listens to them more than He does to us. We forget we are also children of God and that we also have the burning spirits within.
It's no surprise to know that most of these Christians who do this do not actually love going through the bible.
The leaders are there alright, to teach us and correct us but we should know they're human too. Some leaders even falter more than their members.
When you continuously read the bible, you can find out there are many instances that God assures us that he has given us power or strength individually, if only we abide with Him.
If only we take Him as our God, He will always be with us and His marvellous grace will be abundant on our lives.
When God said He has given us authority in Luke 10:19, He never specified the people He has given that authority to. He gave it to all.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Phillipians 4:13 assures every individual about this. Every being can do everything through the strength of Christ.
So it's only dependent on you. Choose Christ and He won't forsake you too.
Believe in yourself. You don't always have to let someone talk for you.
Talk to God as your friend too. God welcomes all, so even if you feel you're the greatest sinner, God can redeem you(He came to the world because of us, sinners).
I want you to know that you're also capable of many things. Read the bible more and you'll understand God more.
God bless you for reading this brief message of mine, may He be with us all.
Be safe🌹✌🏽
