The Red Light

Red light

I know we've all experienced this; stopping at the red light sign in a traffic. When you're a driver, sometimes the passengers get furious because you've stopped for too long( as if it's your fault).

Other times, you as the driver get impatient and tend to mumble some words because you feel your precious time is being wasted. You might be late for work, for school, for an interview, you name it.
So usually all our frustrations, from driver to passengers comes from the fact that, we've been halted! We are stranded and don't know when we will move again. Some passengers even lose patience and get out of cars to tread on foot. Yeah it happens.
But what's the most important thing here? We(drivers and passengers alike) tend to forget why we've been halted, we only think of what's happening presently but forget about what's happening afore or infront of us. People are crossing the roads, other cars are moving too. When it happens that a car in a red light tries to beat the traffic, it usually ends in fatalities and stuff like that.

It's the same way with our individual lives. Sometimes we reach the red light; we get stopped or halted against our will.
We always wish the success or goodwill will keep flowing on and on (similarly, how you'd want your car to move on and on without getting stopped till you get to your destination), but sometimes the success stops abruptly.
We feel stranded, thing don't go well with us.
If it's work, the promotions slip through our hands, we don't get the contracts and so on.
When such things happen in our lives, we should liken it to the Red light. We should understand that whatever is happening in our lives is interim, it's not going to last. And we should also understand that it's all happening for a reason.

Just like how the red light prevents impending accidents, it's the same way the blocks and halts in our lives are preventing bad things in our lives, for the time being.

After everything goes into place, we will be given the go ahead; we will see the green light and things will go back to normal as before and maybe even better.

Remember, there's calm after every storm, just don't lose hope yet.
If you try to forge your way out of the red light, it can end in things we wouldn't really like which will only put us in regrets and shame.

"At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.” (Job 14:7-9).

We should have hope that things will always get better for us, all we need is life. As long as we have life, we will always get opportunities with God's help.

Beautiful reflection. I congratulate you @eosxiomara, for such important words of encouragement. The red light motivates us to stop and think about what may happen in the future, we cannot despair. May the peace of God continue to cover you.

Amen. And thanks for your words
