His Love Endures Forever.

We are not perfect. Most of the time, even if we desire to do good and pursue God, we continue to make mistakes and go back to the old bad habits we have been so accustomed to.

Because of the feeling of being trapped in a never ending cycle of disobedience and sin and then confession, then repentance, then disobedience and sin again...Most of us feel like giving up already because of guilt and because we feel that God becomes farther and farther away everytime we go through the cycle of disobedience-repentance-obedience-disobedience.

The reality is God is always here beside us, He does not move further away from us. It is us who is moving away from Him. And this is aggravated when we continue on sinning because our hearts becomes callous to His Word and His Presence. But the good news is God’s love endures forever. We can always turn back to Him and He promised that if we seek Him with our whole hearts we will find Him. But the key phrase is “with our whole hearts”.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
His love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1
New International Version

Like a loving Father, He is always waiting for us to turn back to Him, running to Him while crying because we know the wrongs we have done and we know the hurts we have caused Him. And if we indeed run back to Him with a humble heart such as this, He will receive us with great joy.
