HELP FROM ABOVE
ππPSALM 121:1-8
ππ
ππKey Verse:
"My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:2).
Help is assistance received from somebody when one is in need or in a state of helplessness. Supernatural help brings joy and gladness to the helpless; especially at a time when there is no hope of any help. God is the Best and most reliable Helper that one can run to at all times.
In our text, the psalmist looked up to God for supernatural assistance and deliverance. Looking up to God for help brings protection and peace in times of trouble.
Help from above can easily be claimed by a true child of God. Linda, a seven-year-old friend of Jesus, was left alone at home by her mummy. Suddenly, she started hearing her neighbours shouting, "Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!" She jumped out of bed, confused and started praying and shouting repeatedly, "Jesus, help me!" Immediately, someone walked inside her parents' apartment before the fire got to her, and she was rescued.
If you are not a true friend of Jesus, such help from above may not come to you as it did to Linda, because you are not connected to God. You therefore need to repent now and receive Jesus into your heart, then you will always receive help from above.
