*Holiness is the state of being holy. It means purity of heart. It also means total freedom from sin. Holiness of life comes with the help of the Holy Spirit Who deals with the inward part of a man. It takes the grace of God to be holy.*
God is holy, and He wants everyone that desires to walk with Him to be holy. He told Abraham *"... I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect (holy)"* Genesis 17:1b.
Also, in the passage today, God sent Moses to tell the children of Israel to be holy like Him. *Holiness of life is a vital condition and qualification for getting to heaven and living with God eternally.*
*A sinner must confess his sins and ask for forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus to become a child of God before he can be holy.*
