"And David said, what have I now done? Is there not a cause?" (1Samuel 17:29)
The mentality of the status quo has locked up the potentials of many great men and women. You see, any time God raises a person to do something new by challenging the status quo, men see such as pride and naughty.
This is a serious challenge for today’s generation. They want all of us to fold our hands and follow the traditions of men while the devil is having a free day, feasting on destinies of countless people.
David never escaped this challenge. He was seen as a person full of pride simply because he chose to live for a higher cause. From the life of David, it will take nothing but determination to live for a cause higher than yourself. No one supported him, no one stood with him, yet with self-determination he disappointed those who wished he failed.
All they wanted to hear and see was that Goliath had won the battle. Then they will rejoice and claim they had already said it as if they were true prophets.
But thank God, He is not always with the majority. God was with David and that was enough to win the battle and make the difference in the world!
I want to encourage you; never be discouraged by what men say about you, if only the vision is from God, never give up. The grace to fulfill will be given you by God.
