By becoming Christians, you have chosen a life that sets you apart from others in society. You have become a "saint"
Source
Ephesians 5: 3
But fornication and all filth, or greed, do not even name yourselves, as it suits saints;
This means that now we don't have to go with evil companies and behave inappropriately. Although a Christian cannot commit incriminating acts, this does not mean that his life is boring and that his expression is always somber.
The good influence of a Christian is different from the influence of worldly people. This contrast is well written in
Ephesians. 5: 15-20
Therefore, watch diligently how you walk, not as fools but as wise, making good use of the time, because the days are bad.
Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Do not get drunk on wine, in which there is dissolution; rather be filled with the Spirit, speaking among yourselves with psalms, with hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praising the Lord in your hearts; always giving thanks for everything to God and Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The first step in maintaining your good influence is to act "carefully," to follow every step you take. The Greek word translated "carefully" indicates that we must "act" with care and precision.
A Christian enlightened by the Word of God has the wisdom to enable him to make the right choice. When friends invite you to an event that is not suitable for Christians, the light of God's wisdom will not let you go there. You must choose companies and stocks, using the wisdom of Scripture to help you determine if this choice will positively or negatively affect your reputation.
It simply means that when you use biblical principles in your decisions, your influence remains pure. By following the Bible, you will behave like a saint.
Living in holiness is difficult, and verse 16 talks about this. This verse contains valuable practical advice, and if you follow it, life will be made more feasible by wise decisions. Paul says that we should measure life in holiness not in years, but in moments.
If you make the best use of your moments and live them wisely, you can live in holiness. Take every opportunity to walk the path of light.
