After creating Planet Earth,God himself took time rest for rest relaxation(R and R) The first book of the Bible,Genesis,tells us so. God finish His creative work on earth in six days,check them over and saw they were good.' 'And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done done;. And blessed(spoke good of) that seventh day He set it apart as His own day and hallowed it,because on it God rested from all His work which He has done'' (Gen2:2-3). Some people feels guilty if they take time to rest and relax ,whether that that means getting enough sleep at night or allowing for a day of rest on the weekends. Stress,financial worries,or the hectic pace of modern life so overwhelms them that they cannot slow down enough to restore their bodies ,minds,and spirits. God spoke of that seventh day of rest though . Later in the Ten Commandments He instructed Moses and Isrealites to rest from all their labors on the seventh day. Jesus knew the importance of rest and relaxation .He had the whole world to save,yet look what He did : Now in the morning ,having risen a long while before daylight,He went out and departed to a solitary place and there He prayed '' (Mark 1:35).This one verse contains a whole health seminar and is worth a closer look.
