The world is full of folks seeking their own benefits, most times at the expense of other people.
People don't seem to care who gets hurt, provided they are feeding their desire for power, money and sex.
Brethren, these are not the way of Christ. Thus, there's a call to separate ourselves out and be affectionate in the fullness of a kind heart.
Let not our affections be attached to what we desire to gain. When ever we show concern because of what we want to gain, we drift to lust .
God expects us to love each other as brothers in the same family because that's who we are in Christ. Let us destroy every selfishness, self seeking and arrogance. Let us love like Christ.
Let us honour others as though they are more important than us, even when they don't look it or are not performing above our level.
This requires genuine humility from our heart. Looking down on people is against the principle of Christ, no matter how justified it appears.
Thus we should give preference to others first before taking decisions. These are the principles of the kingdom.

Abba Father, thank you for your word today. Please help us to be affectionately kind towards people and honour them in Jesus name. Amen.
