Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Our lives are filled with daily activities or inactivities, as well as words and silence.
God is interested in everything we say or do and what we refuse to do or say.
It's pertinent to understand that if we must say or do anything, it must be such that portray the love of Christ. Anything that can't be done to glorify Christ is not worth doing at all.
This calls for a total surrender of our thoughts and will under the authority of Christ. Whatever He commands us to say or do should be final.
We should be able to give thanks to God for everything we said or did. This is to say if we can't give thanks for pulling down another, we shouldn't even imagine it.
Today, let us intentionally involve ourselves with things that glorify God and flee from things that are sinful before the Master.
Let's pray together.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word today. Please forgive us for every idle word and ungodly attitudes, make us doers of your word, in Jesus name. Amen.
