Complement of the season my beloved steemians, I am very well pleased to come our way today to encourage us with the word of the Lord, may our soul be lifted.

Sometimes in life, we cry and it's as if God isn't seeing our tears, sometimes we pray and it appears as if God isn't listening. Sometimes we call on Him and it feels like He's not answering, we knock and the door isn't opening, our faith grows weak and most times we give up because it appears that it is late and all hope is lost.

  • John 11:3-6
    "Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
    When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
    Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
    When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was."(KJV)
    "

The Lord was told that a man he loves was sick, he never hastened to go and see him perhaps, heal him. He has the power to make a decree and the young man would receive healing wherever he could be as the distance was no barrier but no he didn't. Notice in verse 4 He said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."

Contrary to this saying, His sick friend died;

  • John 11:14
    "Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead."(KJV)

So you see, sometimes in life, circumstances and conditions around us might appear to contradict the word of the Lord for us, this doesn't in any way mean that God is deceiving us nor lying to us, no not at all, it will all end in His glory.

At the appointed time, He decided to go and see his friend;

  • John 11:15
    "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him."(KJV)"

Unfortunately, he came behind time, behind expectations, a situation some would refer to as "medicine after death". He was 4 days late and of course, the man had been in the grave for 4 days. When He showed up, there were complaints like what took you so long, if you had been here before now. Nevertheless, these complaints didn't change what He could have done or what He intended to do.

Yes, we can give up on situations that are quite beyond our control, circumstances that we really cannot handle. Doctors may give up on sicknesses and diseases that have defiled medical approaches and attention, we might decide to live with the odds of life because there's no more hope. Hold on unto Him and don't let go no matter what. His ways are different from our ways, and His thoughts from our thoughts, He has the answers to those questions, and He will do what no one could have done. It's not a matter of Him coming late but a question of what He will do when he comes.

The master is on His way and when He arrives, it will end in His glory!!!
