Atonement mean the death and suffering of Jesus Christ,l. Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer who was appointed by God, the atoning sacrifice of Jesus made it possible for mankind to overcome all effect of the fall.
We all will suffer physical death, but Jesus Christ overcome the obstacle of physical death for us when he died on the cross at Calvary, his spirit and his body sperated. On the third day his spirit and body reunite eternally never to be separated anymore.
The reuniting of the body and spirit is known as resurrection and it's a gift God for each and every one of us.
The atonement of Jesus Christ made is a passage for mankind to be redeemed and overcome the obstacle of sins and physical death.
Some people do say that Adam and Eve will be punished for our sins but it's not true, we all will be punished for our own sins not for Adam and Eve transgression.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ make it possible for mankind to be save only through grace and mercy can we become cleanse from sins, this is possible through doing the following
1: Exercising faith in Jesus Christ
2: Being baptized
3: Receiving the gift of the holy ghost by the lay on of hands
4: All endure to the end.
If you do all this things God will bless you abundantly and great is thy reward in heaven and only through the atonement we can return to live with God. I pray may God gives us the ability to overcome and always endure so at the end we enjoy with him in heaven Amen.
