In a world where God had permitted the wheat and the weed to grow together, it shows that the righteous and the unrighteous will live together, move together, do things together that at the end the Lord will separate it on the judgement day.
People are bound to talk, good or bad, gossip, get jealous or even hate one another over things that do not even matter. It is bound to happen because everyone grow together, of only the righteous and the unrighteous are separated from one another then maybe in this detorriating society, maybe the world would have been a better place.
Matthew 13: 24-30
Here is another illustration Jesus used: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer sowing good seed in his field;
25 but one night as he slept, his enemy came and sowed thistles among the wheat.
26 When the crop began to grow, the thistles grew too.
27 "The farmer's men came and told him, 'Sir, the field where you planted that choice seed is full of thistles!'
28 'An enemy has done it,' he exclaimed. 'Shall we pull out the thistles?' they asked.
29 'No,' he replied. 'You'll hurt the wheat if you do.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and I will tell the reapers to sort out the thistles and burn them, and put the wheat in the barn.' "
The devil since it is roaming around looking for whom to devour, whenever, he (devil) sees a heart that is vacant, he goes in and occupied the heart and dwell in it, dwelling in the heart of man, will cause man to sin, and do unpleasant things but anytime a man accept Jesus inside His or Her heart, the Lord enters inside the heart, occupied it and sat on the life and give meaning to the life.
Though we believers and unbelievers grow together, let our (believers) life shine so bright that the world will see it and glorify God who is in heaven. Let us (believers) not join the trends of things happening in the world but let our lives be an examples for others to follow.
