Wives and Husbands
1 In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands. Then, even if some are disobedient to the word, they will be won over without a word by the way you live,
2 when they see your pure and reverent conduct.
Background :
Peter includes marriage in his discussion because this is "situational"submission that is wives are to relate to their husbands as is deemed appropriate in the society.This is particularly important where husband and wives are not believers.

Peter is not launching a word against lipsticks.He reminding women that what counts is a person's inner rather than outer beauty...a beautiful spirit in a woman will do for more to win a husband admiration and allegiance to Christ than a provocation outfit.Husband show consideration and respect.
Don't get wrong the Bible's reference to women's voluntary submission in marriage for divine grant of male domination Peter reminds us that marriage is a PARTNERSHIP not SLAVERY.
I'm so happy and thankful to our women's department president to have this kind of program to show talents and memorable events more knowledge and wisdom from God.
