Proverbs 18:10 KJV
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."
The terrible things happening in and around us today are enough to make the fearful and the unbelieving die even before their time. The Lord however have this to tell us, Fear Not! He is our shield and buckler, He is our defence and hiding place. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil for His rod and His staff, they comfort us. (Psalms 23:4).
A shield is a metal object used to protect oneself against blows or missiles from the enemies. The shield and buckler serves almost the same purpose in times of troubles or war.
It doesn't matter how the wars around us rages, the Word of God tells as many who are His children, not to be afraid, FEAR NOT! He that watches over us, neither sleeps nor slumbers, He is a very present help in troubles.
Are you living in the north, east, west or Southern parts of our Country, or any other parts of the world, the Lord says Fear Not, irrespective of the wars that may be raging around you, He is your shield and defence. He will keep you, He will protect you from all evils. He that watches over you neither sleeps nor slumbers.
A shield as we mentioned earlier is a metal object used to protect oneself against blows or missiles. The Bible says the Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and they are safe. The Name Jesus, acts as a shield and buckler for as many who believe in Him.
