Salvation through Christ's death

Salvation is the central message of gospel , of which without salvation the gospel cannot be complete, anyone short of it cannot enjoy sound Christian Life. It is what makes us in spirit, in faith, and in purity, salvation comes from no other person but our lord Jesus Christ through his suffering and death, as it is recorded in the book Acts 4: 10-12, "be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand before you whole, this is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner, neither is there salvation in any other for there none other name under heaven given among men, where by we must be saved..

The death of Christ makes salvation possible for anyone who longs for it, Jesus is the author and foundation of salvation anyone who longs for salvation must received it through Christ, MEANING OF SALVATION, many do not understand what salvation really means, some think that it is mere going to church or being baptized in water, or taking holy Communion, while others take it to be holding one position or the other, or attending of all church activities like prayer meeting, singing in the choir, Sunday day school, or embarking on weekly fasting.

Salvation is more than all this, it comes after one has heard a sound gospel from a truly born again, preacher, then repent and believe the gospel.

It is spiritual operation, taking place by grace and received through Faith. Salvation means resting or settling in Christ, after justification and adoption. It means being in Christ as it is recorded in the book of 11corinthians.5: 17, therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away behold all things are become new. That means when someone is saved, there is that possiblity for the old sinful nature to pass away.

In salvation man and God have a positive part to play (1) man has to hear the gospel, accept the message, decide, repent and confess his sins, (2) God by his infinite mercy and Grace will forgive, justify and adopt, then salvation takes place. Forgiveness here means, God's overlooking of the past sins through his mercy and Grace, not counting those of the past.

After forgiveness, he justifies, that is using the blood of Jesus to cleanse all the spiritual dirt of the spirit, soul and the body, after being justifies. One remains as if he did not commit any sin, he is now holy before God, and qualified for adoption. By adoption, he is now welcome into the God's family, to have settlement or rest as a full citizen of the family.

That settling down in God's family is what is known as salvation. Just as what is recorded in the book of psalm 91: 1, he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the, almighty.

Salvation means dwelling in the secret place of the most high, you then have to know what that means, in addition to the explanation so far, salvation also means protection or security given to man, through God's grace after being able to accept Christ through, repentance, and confession of sins, it is when one is under God's protective power, or influence, because of surrendering to Christ
