Habakkuk 2:3

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

The Bible is full of stories of people that were waiting upon God's promises to be fulfilled. Some saw it as being unusually delayed so they decided to help themselves by doing what God would ordinarily not expect them to do.
While some took God by his word and waited till God's set time and their joy both within and without was unspeakable.

Statistics in the bible have explicitly shown that God always fulfills HIS promise(s) especially when it appears to man to have been delayed. God has His own time table and at the time appointed by Him,He will fulfill His promise.
There's is no point cutting corners. It won't help,if God does not help man,no one can or will.

When God withhold certain things from us,it doesn't mean He doesn't love us,If he decides not to speak to us as touching an issue,it doesn't mean He wants us to suffer like many of us will always like to conclude.

Most time we come to Him in haste wanting to hear from Him forgetting that God's way is not our way neither is His thought our thought and then God's introduces silence to calm you down from making an hasty decision that might jeopardize your life.

There are many things we learn in the process of waiting, one of which is PATIENCE.This is one of the virtue that many don't have today and that is why they can't tolerate delay.
Patience will help you hold on till you see that which you're trusting God for comes to pass in your life,it's a virtue we must not discard if we must really enjoy God even when it seems we are being delayed.

Saul in the bible waited for Samuel to come offer a Sacrifice and after he waited and waited,he felt he could no longer wait so he decided to offer the sacrifice himself which was contrary to his mandate,he is King and not a prophet or priest, he hasn't been called to carry out such duty but because of the pressures he was getting from the men around him he did it and faced the unpleasant consequences.

Saul was wrong to have put himself in Samuel shoe as a prophet and was also wrong to have yielded to the pressures all around him and this caused him his throne eventually.
If Saul had waiting just a few minutes more he wouldn't have erred.Samuel came just immediately after he offered the sacrifice and wasn't happy with his action.

Friends, another lesson to learn is not to succumb to pressures, people might ask you why your life is not moving well, why things are not working fine, some might even suggest or advice you on how to cut corners and mount uneccessary pressure on you. In all these,BE YE STEADFAST AND IMMOVABLE. God is never slack in fulfilling his promise(s) to you.

We also need to understand God's silence,it speaks louder than His voice in most cases.

WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE IS DELAY.

  • Put all your on God,know that He cannot fail nor lie.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding -Proverbs 3:5.

  • Pray and give thanks always regardless of the situation on ground.

  • Do not listen to alternative advice from people especially when it negates what God told you or what you're you're trusting God for .

Conclusion:
Be resolute that whatsoever God has said He will do,that is exactly what He will do no matter the delay. Please do not take alternative route.
