Psalms 2: 7-8
7 I will publish the decree;
Jehovah has told me: You are my son;
I fathered you today.
8 Ask me, and I will give you an inheritance to the nations,
And as your possession the ends of the earth.

We approach the Lord with the desire to receive salvation and life, so to ask is to humbly accept our human need to receive as we give. We must be honest and humble.
Recognize that you need your Father and ask him with confidence because He wants you to recover everything you have lost by living according to the world system.
Never forget, He blessed you since you were an embryo and you are his son. He gives us the order to ask, it is not an option, it is a mandate to recover everything glorious that was taken from us by sin.
This psalm speaks of asking for the nations which means races, in the original Hebrew; People, the Father is telling the Son that the plan was to save the Jews, but that he will also give the rest of the peoples, if he asks.
Jesus is the Son of God and became the adoptive son of a man so that we, sons of men, may be the adoptive children of God. No son calls his father by name, but says daddy or daddy and if he wants something he says: cute daddy.
Abba father means papito, so God wants us to recognize him as a loving Father. The relationship is from father to children who must ask for their inheritance. If the heir asked, the joint heirs must also do so.
