Sometimes it can only require a few encouragement.
Some would feel lazy concerning the things they need, but the other few may make haste in attempt to solve a problem.
That was early morning of yesterday as I was busy with my house chores, he ran to my house and refused to be humiliated by my security dogs.
Of course I came out for a rescue mission. I couldn’t understand the glamour of happiness and such feelings of fulfillment on his face. And he shouted, “Max I did it!”. I replied and say, did what?
He insisted to come in before explaining his phrase.
Christian is brave since childhood. After they lost their father, he tried to become self dependent; helping his junior siblings and his mother which is a widow.
When I newly came to live in this new geographical location, it was like a hell to make friends; especially those that I could discuss the scriptures with. But his mother one day came to me and expressly explained how she would that I helped her to bring his sons in the way of the Lord, as well as showing them how to fend for themselves through legitimate means.
That was how we started becoming friends. Christian told me how he has desired to change some narratives concerning their family; especially on his mother’s side. He wanted to put some smiles on her face; making her to forget the past that has everything to do with her late husband.
“I’ll like to be able to buy a land and provide a shelter for her” says Christian. I smiled back at him and say, there’s nothing that is impossible for children of men to accomplish. If you could think 🤔 it, you can do it.
And the word sank into his consciousness. I also taught him some skills and how to blog. I told him about HeartChurch and about lovely christian brothers found in that community. I told him about Daily Telos and about Heart Farm. And he loved them and was eager to join and become a member.
Yesterday was his birthday, and as he approached my gate, I opened for him, and he shared his story with me; how he was able to secure a plot of land where he’ll enact a shelter for his mother.
I rejoiced with him, and encouraged him more.
