OVERCOMING OBSTACLES
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
ROMANS 8:37 [NKJV]
In our journey of life, we are bound to encounter obstacles, limitations, and barriers. God never promised us a smooth ride on earth but the beautiful thing is that whatever we encounter in this life journey, we can overpower it. There is no promised land without giants but one thing is sure, we have obtained the promise.
You may want to ask, “How then do I handle these obstacles?” Firstly, confront the obstacles with the presence and power of God (Psalms 114:1-8). Whatever you do to increase the power of God in your life is a weapon for overcoming obstacles and promoting progress in your life. God’s presence and power cannot be overemphasized. As we pray in the Spirit, we make tremendous power available—thereby increasing our weight of glory.
Secondly, you confront obstacles with prophetic direction (Joshua 3:13; 6:10). Prophetic direction or instruction from God is also a way of overcoming obstacles. God’s instructions will always give you a way of escape in every challenging situation, enabling you to cross over to the other side.
Do not relent to keep God’s instructions; they are life (Proverbs 4:13). We are more than a conqueror. We are assured of an unending victory in Christ. Glory to God!
