(MARK 10:43-44)
Whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave to all.
Good afternoon my dear steemians and @HeartChurch community. Everybody has the inner wish to become great in some way. But that is not the way to happiness. A senior friend of mind ones said, “I never became truly happy until I stopped wanting to be great.” There is a lot of truth in this. Even the disciples of Jesus Christ disputed among themselves as to which of them was the greatest. For true greatness lies in the service and experienced solely by those who are free from self-satisfaction.

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Brethren we recall that the creator of the universe, the eternal son of God, once came to this earth as a man, and that not to be served, but to minister to others and give his life a ransom for many. Jesus Christ came into the world in poverty and humility, just for us his children to become rich through him. Jesus Christ when he came has “no form or comeliness” he was “despised and rejected by men, he was with sorrow and acquainted with grief".
His service came to its climax when he suffered and died on the cross for the sins and guilt for others. Because of his obedience towards his father he was highly exalted, for this God gave him a name that is above every other name. Lastly before I drop my pen will like to leave you with this, that God will exalt everyone who humbles himself before him by acknowledging his sin and guilt. Whoever surrender his own will to the lord Jesus Christ, God will raise out of the dust into his marvelous light.
