Our God is a God of dominion who rules over the affairs of men by decrees. It hence follows that if He made man in His own image and after His likeness, man ought to likewise live by orders. Genesis 1:28 gives an understanding into the mandate of dominion that God provided for man after he was created.
Tragically man tumbled from his place of power where he ruled by decrees and started to be governed by circumstances. It is anyway more shocking that some children of God have neglected to understand the place of dominion that they have been reestablished to in the new era of the covenant in the Blood of Jesus.
It is true man fell and lost his domain, yet it is similarly a fact that this dominion was reestablished during the second Adam: Jesus. Therefore, man should no longer live under the curse of sin any longer, since he has gotten back his dominion through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, who died for the transgressions of the whole world.
This is the certainty by which the apostles of old lived, and the basis of their capacity to live by decrees.
Even before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, some looked into the glory of the agreement that was to come and were privilege to participate in the glory which they saw afar off.
One of such men we are talking about is Elijah, who lived and governed by decrees. Elijah was giving orders and holding influence for the behalf of his God. Fortunately we of the new dispensation with far better covenant than that of Elijah, because the Son of God is at the right hand of power backing our decrees in heaven through His mediation for our sake.
You must therefore know what your identity is and the power available to you. Know and accept that the word of Job 22:28 apply to you. From now on, live by decrees and dominion, and never permit yourself become a victim of conditions again. Jesus is Lord!
