What We Live For.

Matthew 25:37 & 40.

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

As Christians, we are to model the life we are teaching. We have so many examples to follow in the Bible and what delights me the most about the Bible is that it is applicable to every aspect of life. Whoever doesn't know this hasn't studied the Word of God yet.

We are mirrors and a reflection of who God is. When we think deeply about this it would help us to desire being a light in a darkened world. The world has been in darkness and as Christians we are to be that light. It's not surprising why the Bible told us to let our light shine so bright that others may see our good works and glorify God in Heaven. Why would they Glorify God in Heaven? Because they would understand that it wasn't done by us but God led us to them.

I was particularly excited when the call came for us to visit the orphanage. It was a call I was excited to answer and also be part of. These children are struggling and if we can make their lives a little better, why not? Every little bit helps. Most people would rather not do anything because they convince themselves that it is not much. We need to stop giving excuses and start doing every bit. Imagine if we keep doing our bits, it would soon turn into a whole or close to it.

God has blessed us for a time as this just as the Bible recorded concerning Esther when Mordecai told her she was in the kingdom for a time as this. We are here for a purpose and when a seed of doing good pops up in our heart we should water it.

We visited these orphanage for the challenged children and you could see the joy and happiness in their hearts. They were dancing, laughing, playing and all sorts. They had zero worries. They even prayed and I was moved. Many of us even forget to pray and we blame the system or the busy schedules but here are amazing children, singing and praying. They still have reasons to be thankful. What are you thankful for? Stop focusing on what's not working and take hold of the ones that are working. The heart of the gratitude the Bible says that God would enlarge.

We were unable to snap with the children for obvious reasons and I will be sharing a few pictures of those of us who went and what we took there.

2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

It is great that people like you are out there sharing your wealth with the poor not keeping everything to yourselves. This is what true Christianity looks like. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much, brother. To God be all praise and glory.
