Test: Jude 1:3
Faith delivered to the saints, as described from this text refers to the entirety of the gospel committed to believer’s security by spirit filled men of God as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit to pen down His will at different dispensation and time. In other word the campus Christian student beyond keeping the faith, is expected to earnestly contend and as well protect the totality of the faith conveyed, irrespective of circumstances that might eventually turned up. In securing the faith, campus Christian will not only contend with Satan and his cohort, but against principalities, authorities, and as well against false professing Christians and their erroneous believes.
Most common kinds of Christian and non-Christian in the campus world are skeptics.
The non-Christian skeptics are the unbelievers outside the circles of Christianity who completely doubt and oppose bible and it authority, while the Christian skeptics are dogmatic professing believers within the fold of Christianity that doubt and disbelieves some certain bible based doctrines and further misinterpret its contextual meanings slightly to the extreme. Paul address the Ephesian believers to be mindful of such
believers, in his epistle referring to them as wolves. Acts 20:29 and 30 “for I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
This skeptical groups in the Christian fold, fused-in thought, rational liturgies and established ideas into the faith, explaining scriptural context logically from the human perspectives. The world of God has long predicted their fall that skeptics will eventually rise in the last days and will square every facet of believes system with rationally and intellectually suiting opine gospel. 1Timothy 4:1 and 2 “Now the Spirit speaketh
expressly, that in the later times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
The most fascinating aspect of this believes system in this modern term is that the dogma is swiftly piercing and permeating through the body of Christ because an average campus Christian who is not grounded with firm conviction on scriptures will be carried away with the subtle-suiting teachings and interpretations of scripture slightly to the extremes, permitting grace with impunity as a license to transgress God’s word with grater and better hope. This slight differences takes not just a spirit filled campus Christian, but a sound in-depth of God’s word not to be deceive. Forefront among this religious in the campus world today is: eternal security, hyper grace and faith gospel believers. This sect have established liturgical stand point and doctrinal believes in the following captured key areas.
- All sins have been forgiving: under grace, all past, present and future sins God says, “I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more”. Colossians 2:13–14, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 4:7 and 8, 5:21.
- The spirit is already saved even if he sin 1Corinthians 5:1-5, Hebrew 8:12.
- Believers are made righteous in God’s eye by faith in the blood of Jesus
- Righteousness is not about right doing, but right believing. Hebrew 10:14, 10.
- Salvation cannot be lost or repent for confess sins. As a result makes believers to be sin-conscious. You were also sanctified in Christ. Hebrew 10:10, 10:39, 10:27.
- We need never repent for nor confess our sins. Roman 4:7 and 8, Hebrew 9:12.
- Disciples were not born again before the cross.
The gospel are eternal and spiritual things conveyed to us in realities that might not in all cases appeals to skeptics believes or concept, but rather by simple manifestation of faith which would ushers one into the truth. John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Analog to that, the gospel as well cannot be explain based on logics or rational concept which will eventually slip one into error. James 1:19 “brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him. Its say that “if any of the brethren” and went ahead to call them sinners in verse 20 “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of His way shall save a soul from death, and shall hid a multitude of sins”. The world sins used in the scripture connote all sins in the past, present and still avail to clean sins committed in the future. 1John 3:5 and 6“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Verse 9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Jesus in the person of grace personified Himself described the parable story of the ten
virgins to be likened as the kingdom of God while the virgins are to be His bride.
Meaning that they were washed in the blood of the lamp and they were also set in race
for the bridegroom return. But at last Jesus said He knew not the foolish virgin and went ahead to warn believers to watch for His return. Likewise use He many other
parables to in the same manner. Jesus speaking to John in the book of revelation
concerning the church in Smyrna. Revelation 2:11 “……He that overcometh shall
not be hurt of the second death”. Also Matthew 24:13 “But he that shall endure
unto the end, the same shall be saved”. Take heed, for even Peter and apostle of
Christ fell off, but Jesus Christ prayed for his restoration in Luke 22:32 “But I have
prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen
thy brethren”. Meaning that careless believers can throw of their salvation.
It however thoughtful to note that the Disciples of Christ where born again, because
Jesus said to them in Luke 10:20 “…but rejoice that your names are written in heaven”, while Jesus also addressing certain scribes in Mark 2:10 saying “But that
ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins.
1Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest
he fall.
Paul in his written to the Ephesians pointed out clearly in Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Peter in Acts 5:3 “Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land”. Hence Ananias fell and die likewise his wife Sapphire. It can be deducted that beyond the Holy Spirit getting grieved over sin, He can as well kill a blood washed backslider.
Paul the apostle in his written to timothy in 2Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrines, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”. And drawing his inspiration from Old Testament [all scriptures] through the Holy Spirit in warn the Roman believers Roman 11:20 “Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: for if God speared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and the severity of God: on them that fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness: otherwise thou also shall be cut off. Beyond God as a loving father, that in the New Testament written, it’s also established that God can be severe with believers who are high minded or turned away from his directives.
John the beloved in 1John 3:7 says that “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. While in verse 10 says “…..whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. Righteousness portrayed in the New Testament is not just believing right but also doing right as well. The word of God her His commandment and a just course for believers to keep verse 24 “And he that keepeth his commandment dwelleth in him, and he in him…..”. This slight extremes of Christian skeptics are the destructives wise cunningness of the spirit of the last days refers to as seducing spirits.
It is hot full to say that many shall follow this pernicious movement, however
fascinated, only to find out that Jesus in His beatitude teaching had foreseen and
forewarn believers to strive to enter in at the narrow gate, for narrow is the gate, and
few there be by find it. How sad it is to know the fate end of those who not only: sin
with impunity, hold certain doubtful erroneous believes; but also prophesied and wrath
miracle in the name of Jesus, when He returns He would have to say to them depart,
He knew thee not, ye workers of iniquity. 2Peter 3:17 “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing
ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error
of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness”. In a final note believers are to
watch and pray always
