LOCATING YOURSELF IN THE WORD OF GOD.

"But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed". James 1:25

Friends, the time has come for everyone who professes to be a Christian, to locate himself or herself in the word of God. The ability to do this would breed success in our daily walk with God.

King David was able to locate himself in God's covenant with Israel. Hence, he declared in Psalm 27:

"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me, to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in His temple".

In other words, David was saying to God: show me who I am so that I can function in the light of it. You cannot know who you're in Christ if you're far away from Him or don't seek Him. Matthew 6:33 says: Urges us seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and we shall have all other things be added unto us".

We are living right now in a world where men's hearts are failing them because of fear. It's only the word of God in 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind", that is the antidote.

God is ALL we need in times like these.

God is all we need truly at a point like this but our identification is very important. I can't call myself what I am not. Same thing to every child of God. Know who you are in Christ Jesus and this will give you the assurance of his words concerning you!

Thanks for your quality comment. Blessings.
