"If anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
John 4:20

My brothers in Christ we must be clear that we cannot say that we love God and at the same time hate an enemy, therefore it is important to ask forgiveness for an offense that has been committed even if the other person is not willing to forgive, we must seek reconciliation face to face, showing humility and sincerity of heart. When we love a brother we cannot treat him with hypocrisy, offenses or insults because that does not please God and if at any moment we do it we must ask for forgiveness first to God and then to the person we have offended. Because although many times we do not realize a bad word expressed to another person hurts more than a physical blow, and without realizing it we are hurting verbally and morally to our neighbor, but by asking forgiveness to the person we have wronged we can lead a quiet life, without remorse of conscience and at peace with ourselves.

Let us learn to treat our brothers in Christ with love, respect and affection because otherwise it is not possible to love God and at the same time hate someone. If we have offended a brother and have not asked for forgiveness and sought reconciliation, it is impossible to maintain communion with God. If we live a life of resentment and hatred against a brother or relative, no matter how hard we try in the congregation and in giving offerings to God, we would not be being sincere to Him because God does not like those things and we could be judged.
