The word repent is a verb action word which means: To be sorry for one’s sin and determination not to sin again. Point to Note

Repent ye and be… Acts 3:19. Repentance must follow with conversion

  • You must turn from sin and the unrighteous ways and be converted i.e. turning to God, listening to everything that Christ through the prophet tells you to do and always moving toward sincere obedience to Christ.
  • Without repentance there is no remission of sin i.e. forgiveness Acts 2:38
  • As you hear the gospel and believe, the Lord will release the enabling grace on you for repentance Acts 11:23

According to our memory verse, those who cover their sins are trying to deny their sins or keep them hidden, neither than acknowledging, confessing and forsaking Proverbs 28:13

  • Such people can never make any meaningful progress in their spiritual life
  • Without genuine repentance, God can never forgive you and you cannot receive mercy from Him
  • Forgiveness and God’s mercy is for those who sincerely repent
  • As you have decided to follow the Lord be sure to confess all your sin’s and turn from them all otherwise learn from Psalms 32:3-5
  • With your genuine repentance, confessing and turning away from them all, God had forgiven you, be sure you are not going back to it again.

In conclusion, God had forgiven you all your sins, live now and a child of God and experience the blessing of God in your life.
