1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
There is only one true God, and He is the Creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.
A Mediator is a person who attempts to make people involved in a conflict come to an agreement; he is a go-between, a peace maker, a reconciliator. The mediator assists and guides the parties toward their own resolution. The mediator does not decide the outcome, but helps the parties understand and focus on the important issues needed to reach a resolution.
God sent His Only begotten Son in the person of Jesus Christ, to mediate between Him and the man He created, and restore the lost fellowship.
The Bible says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
The sole mission of Christ to the world was to mediate between man and God, and reconcile us back to our heavenly Father. At the mountain of transfiguration when Jesus was alone with Peter, John and James, at the hour of prayers, the glory of God overshadowed the Lord, and God again declared, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, listen to Him or hear ye Him.
No where in the Bible or in any other holy book has the Almighty God made such declaration any Prophet or anyone, except the Lord Jesus Christ.
Brethren, God is emphatic and the scriptures is very clear that there is only one person who qualifies to mediate between Him and men, and that individual is His Son Jesus Christ.
