"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (KJV)
Everyone has a life and a destiny to fulfil. Whatever we achieve during our existence would be used to describe us after we are gone.
What do man live for?
What do man fight for?
But above all, life is vanity. The Book of Ecclesiastes was written by the wisest man (Solomon), who was so wealthy that he gave bountiful offerings to God in a day. Nevertheless, he said one thing happens to the rich, poor, righteous and the wicked — death (Ecclesiastes 2:4-11; 9:2-3). No matter your ranking, possessions or achievements in this world, all is for a moment because death is inevitable!
Brethren, what are you struggling to get?
Money, houses, certificates or fame? Yes, these are good, but life itself is a display that fades away. We must not place value on perishable materials over our soul because, as seen in our Bible reading, once a man dies, his fate is sealed.
Therefore, the best thing to do while alive is to give our lives to Christ, live a life of holiness by the Spirit, have faith, love others and spread the gospel.
