“Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.” (Luke 19: 16)

When the noble man returned and demanded that his servants should give account of the pounds they were given, the first returned to say that he had gained ten pounds. He was not the only profitable servant, but he was a servant that gained more than others did. He was a servant that excelled in trade more than others. He was a servant that showed more capacity than other servants. He was a servant that had an excellent spirit.

Friend, dare to excel. Dare to do more than others are willing to do. Dare to commit more efforts than others are willing to commit. Dare to push more than others are willing to push. Dare to excel more than others are willing to excel. Dare to break forth intentionally, and don’t stop until you have broken every record that existed before you showed up. Set high targets for yourself and do well to work towards them until they are achieved.

That servant that gained ten pounds simply had capacity to do more than others could do. The same way the slothful servant chose to do nothing, the excellent servant chose to do more. In this season, train yourself to have capacity to do more. Increase your appetite for excellence. Refuse to be satisfied with average results. Refuse to accept results below your destiny potential. Refuse to be less when you can be more.

That voice that normally tells you to play the way others play, is not of God. That voice that encourages you to accept the average when you have the capacity for excellence, is not of God. That voice that encourages you to be less when you can be more, is not of God. That voice that talks you out of your destiny potential and encourages you to do less than you have capacity for, is not of God.

You were wired to excel. You were wired to be at the top of your game. Dare to do more; grow your capacity to do more and be more.

Proverbs 22: 29 says: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
