Job 42:12(a)
Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; (NKJV)
In a death camp during World War II, a young lady named Rachel endured great hardship from working in the snow with terrible clothing to watching in shock as many of her friends and families were killed.
However, one day the camp guards suddenly left, unknowing to her that the war was over. Later, some American soldiers arrived to set prisoners free.
A youthful soldier helped Rachel by holding the door as she made her way out.
Rachel started to cry, prompting the soldier to ask, “What’s wrong, ma’am?” She said, “I can’t remember the last time someone held a door open for me. It’s the best thing anyone has done for me in a long time.” The soldier stayed in touch with Rachel after she relocated; they fell in love and got married.
That is what God can do. He can take the most horrible circumstances in your life and make something glorious from it. Rachel went through the hard times; she never gave up until her freedom (Psalms 30:5).
Job in our Bible reading also refused to curse God but waited, and the Lord rewarded his perseverance.
Brethren, what are you passing through that seems the end has come? Whatever it is! Rejoice in the Lord, because like for Rachel and Job, your challenges can never break you; instead, they are stepping stones to your place of destiny.
