Exod.20.16 - "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Here we read of the ninth commandment in the bible.
God gave the children of Israel different commandments to obey them.
Who is my neighbour?
-Is any one near me, a few door steps
-Is any one next to you.
-Is any one who is in need of your help
-A fellow human being
-Its can also be some one intimate with you!
Why is giving a false testimony against our neighbours?

.- It's not a sign of love or Gods love
-Its one way of hypocrisy before the lord.
-Each time you give a false testimony, you bind your self.
-Jesus had said its one way of loving your self. He said love your neighbour as you love your self.
Mark.12.33 - And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Therefore giving a false testimony is not of God but of the devil. You are classified in the devils class- the accuser of the brethren.
Rev.12.10 - Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
Therefore in the NT dispensation, false accusation is like teaming with with satan against the church.
