- “THE heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
- THE LORD, SEARCH THE HEART, I TEST THE MIND, EVEN TO GIVE EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS WAYS, According to the fruit of his doings."
Jeremiah 17:9,10 (NKJV)
"SILVER and gold are tested by flames of fire; OUR THOUGHTS ARE TESTED BY THE LORD."
Proverbs 17:3 (Contemporary English Version)
• Someone who is rebellious in his or her heart cannot attract favour from God.
- If your heart is against the move of God, forget about having any breakthrough.
- If you do not delight in the lifting of others, forget about Greatness (Genesis 37:4,11,28).
- If you do allow envy to overcome you and be embittered with other people's success, it might be difficult for you to make it, succeed or get to the top in whatever you do (Acts 7:9).
- Some who are not happy at other people's Success, such also might not get what they Desire (Genesis 4:3-7).
• The principle of Giving has been stressed and emphasized, however, you can GIVE and still not receive anything in return, If the heart with which you GIVE is not Right: "THE SACRIFICE OF THE WICKED IS DETESTABLE AND OFFENSIVE [to the LORD]. HOW MUCH MORE [unacceptable and insulting can it be] WHEN HE BRINGS IT WITH EVIL INTENTION?" (Proverbs 21:27 AMP).
READ: Jeremiah 6:20
- Someone who has a wicked heart and does not want to change; curses would trail such a person.
- Being a disciple of Jesus Christ may be difficult for whoever is ruled by the flesh (Romans 8:6-8).
THE difficulty stem from the fact that the person is dealing with a righteous and just God, Who knows the intent of every person's heart (1 Chronicles 28:9). - If you succeeded in deceiving human beings, you however cannot deceive God.
- Many could not receive an answer to their prayers because their hearts are not right (James 4:3).
WHATEVER good thing done in the Kingdom by someone, with a wrong heart, would end in futility. It would be a wasted effort! There would be no reward for it.
• If your heart is not right, you will not be happy with the doings of God in Someone else's life.
- NOTE:
- Wish other people well.
- Think about the goodness of others.
- Be part of other people's progress and success.
- Support the efforts of whoever is striving to get to the top.
- Do not stand to pull down or scatter what another person is building. Whatever a Man sows he will surely reap (Galatians 6:7).
- Directly or indirectly, what you wished others has a way of befallen on you—the wisher: "FOR the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. AS YOU HAVE DONE, IT SHALL BE DONE TO YOU; YOUR DEEDS SHALL RETURN ON YOUR OWN HEAD" (Obadiah 15 ESV).
READ: Hosea 4:9; Matthew 16:27
- Always remember you are dealing with God and not a human.
YOU have to do whatever you are doing, relating with other people, with the consciousness that God is aware of whatever you do, even the INTENT, thoughts, of your heart. - If you think things are hard and difficult for you, check your heart about the success of others.
• If you failed in the test of your heart, in your relationship and the state of your heart with other people's success, your blessings could be hindered and suspended.
- Are you happy with the progress of another person around you?
- What are your reactions to the lifting of someone else?
- How do you handle the promotion of other people?
- You might not be celebrated If you did not celebrate the success of other people.
- If you are not happy with the peace of others, you might also not experience peace in life and ministry.
- If you do not rejoice with other people, there might not be any reason for people to rejoice with you also. The Scripture says: "REJOICE WITH THOSE WHO REJOICE..." (Romans 12:15).
- What you sow is what you reap (Galatians 6:7).
• If you did allow strife or envy in whatever you are doing, It means you have allowed what will destroy your work and Ministry.
- Stand against envy, strife and bitterness with all your heart, and do not give place to them at all in your Ministry.
- God will honour you If you do honour others. Whatever you do is a seed that you receive or reap back: "KNOWING THAT WHATEVER GOOD THING EACH ONE DOES, HE WILL RECEIVE THIS BACK FROM THE LORD, whether [he is] slave or free" (Ephesians 6:8 AMP).
- The thoughts of your heart determined your height in the Kingdom. Be sincere in your dealings with God and fellow human beings.
"For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. OUR PURPOSE IS TO PLEASE GOD, NOT PEOPLE. HE ALONE EXAMINES THE MOTIVES OF OUR HEARTS."
1 Thessalonians 2:4 (NLT)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
