  1. “When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at YOUR PRESENCE.
  2. For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.
  3. You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.”
    Psalm 9:3-5 (NKJV)

• God is our defence and without Him on your side as a believer, those who stand as enemies will prevail over you

  • God’s Presence in your Life as a believer brings the counsel of those who stand as enemies to nought AND cause them to fall.
  • If you missed God’s Presence, the devil would want to take an advantage of you, prey on your Life, which does mean you are not secured.
  • To Carry Or have God’s Presence in your Life:
YOUR fellowship with Him must be strong.
TO fellowship with God means to commune with Him in prayer, and the study of His Word.
THE deeper your fellowship with God, the stronger His Presence in your Life.
THE DEVIL fears and respects God’s Presence in a believer’s Life, thus he would want a believer Who has God’s Presence to walk in disobedience that he or she may lose it.
OBEDIENCE, consecration, fasting, prayer, the intake of the Word of God, and meditation or pondering on the Word enhance your fellowship with God.
  • If any of the above mentioned ingredients is missing in your Life, you may lose His Presence.

• God can only maintain one’s right and cause when one walks with Him in holiness and righteousness (Psalm 9:4; 1 Peter 1:15,16).
MANY who wanted God’s blessings, protections, provisions, and helps in all areas of Life are not ready to walk in His precepts.
GOD is not haphazard, He is principled, and does things as He has planned.

  • Thus walking in the light of His Word makes Him maintain your right and cause (Psalm 9:4).
  • God judges in righteousness not in unrighteousness (Psalm 9:4).
  • God cannot behold sin! You cannot persist in SIN, yet want God’s grace abound, No, it cannot be (Romans 6:1,2).
  • God will always fight for the righteous, however, If the righteous puts his or her hands in SIN, God may permit the enemy to touch them.
  • God will rebuke and destroy the wicked, that is, those who habitually live in SIN. He will blot out their name forever and ever (Psalm 9:5).
  • The wicked are those who live in SIN, who refused to accept Jesus As their Saviour and Lord: "He who believes in Him is not condemned; BUT HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD" (John 3:18).
THOSE who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour would not have their names written in the Book of Life and such would end in eternal destruction (Revelation 20:14,15).

• Note: Without God’s Presence, or defence, the enemy can make meat of one.

  • If you live in SINS as a believer and a leader, you expose yourself to attacks from the kingdom of darkness.
  • Sin of Disobedience:
EVERY sin is weighty in the sight of God, however Sin of disobedience is grievous in the His sight.
YOU lose God’s Presence when you disobeyed Him.
WHEN you are in a wrong place of assignment, your Life is in danger.
  • King Saul lost his throne through the SIN of Disobedience:
  1. “Samuel also said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the LORD.
  2. ‘Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’
  3. And Saul attacked the Amalekites, from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is east of Egypt.
  4. He also took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
  5. But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.”
    1 Samuel 15:1,3,7-9 (NKJV)

• Truth: Disobedience and partial obedience are equal in God’s sight.

  • Saul partially obeyed God’s instruction which is tantamount to rebellion and disobedience in God’s sight:
  1. “And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
  2. “But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal.”
  3. So Samuel said: “HAS THE LORD AS GREAT DELIGHT IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES, AS IN OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.
  4. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. BECAUSE YOU HAVE REJECTED THE WORD OF THE LORD, HE ALSO HAS REJECTED YOU FROM BEING KING.”
    I Samuel 15:20-23 (NKJV)

• To obey is better than sacrifice!

  • God will not need your sacrifice if you live in rebellion and disobedience.
  • You cannot appease God with sacrifices when you are blatantly disobeying Him.
  • In fact, disobedience which is rebellious amounts to witchcraft in the sight of God.
  • Witchcraft is about the control and manipulation of others.
  • And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
  • If you lived in rebellion, it is likened to witchcraft, whilst stubbornness is likened to idolatry.
  • Disobedience amounts to witchcraft practicing in the sight of God.
  • It means if you could have your way, you would want to dominate God, control Him and manipulate Him—do things in your own way.
  • God sent satan away from heaven because of this particular sin—he was relieved of his position (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:17).
  • Pride leads to Disobedience. WHEN you disobeyed what God has instructed you to do, it means you want to prove to be wiser than God.
  • When you are stubborn, it means you have idolized your own plan.
  • To prove stubborn means you have another god or lord that you reverence than God, and you want to obey such—and that is the self.
  • When you disobeyed God it means you have obeyed or sided with the devil, the adversary.
  • Your disobedience will lead to sanctions from God: “BECAUSE YOU HAVE REJECTED THE WORD OF THE LORD, HE ALSO HAS REJECTED YOU FROM BEING KING" (1 Samuel 15:23).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
