“But whoever keeps His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”
1 John 2:5 (NKJV)
• If you claim that you are born again, then you have to live your life in line with the Word of God.
- God will not be able to do all He intends to do in your life if you fail to walk in accordance with His Word.
- The prove that you belong to God is walking in the light of His Word (1 John 2:3,4).
- “Now by this we know that we know Him if we keep His commandments.
- He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

- If you walk according to the dictates of your heart, God will not be able to do much in your life.
• You have to obey; do the truth you have received in the written Word as well as the Word spoken to you specifically by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14).
- Disregarding His Word hampers Him—it hinders His move in your life.
- The more chance or room you give to Him in your life, the greater the things He does in you.
- You may not understand the fullness of what He instructed you to do—you do it anyway!
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, NOT KNOWING WHERE HE WAS GOING.”
Hebrews 11:8 (NKJV) - God will not be able to work beyond your level of obedience. Your obedience is the key to receive whatever you want from Him.
- Therefore strive to know what He wants on every matter of your life and do it.
• Note: If you pray that God should deal with your enemies, He may not, until you started obeying His commands—living according to His Word, walking in the light of His Word
- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
- casting down arguments and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
- and BEING READY TO PUNISH ALL DISOBEDIENCE WHEN YOUR OBEDIENCE IS FULFILLED.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (NKJV)
- Secret of rising, living a victorious life, is obedience to His Word.
- You commit everything you want to do to His hand, that is, you want to know His mind on every step you are about to take (Proverbs 3:5,6).
- Until you get to this point, your rising in Him will be a mirage—an illusion.
• Focus on Jesus
- Focus on Jesus and His Word; obey all He commands, do not look at what people do to you or say to you.
- Do not copy evil things, bad things that others are doing (3 John 11).
- “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. WALK as children of LIGHT,
- finding out what is ACCEPTABLE to the LORD.
- And have no FELLOWSHIP with the UNFRUITFUL WORKS of DARKNESS, but rather EXPOSE [reprove] them.”
Ephesians 5:8,10,11 (NKJV)
• Focus on the Word of God– Jesus is our model.
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)
• Do not compromise the Word of God because you want to please somebody.
- Whoever you compromised the Word of God to please will later become a whip, cane, with which God flogs you.
- Therefore, do not compromise your stand in God’s Word to please anyone.
“For do I persuade MEN, or GOD? Or do I seek to PLEASE MEN? For if I still please men, I would not be a BOND SERVANT of CHRIST.”
Galatians 1:10 (NKJV)
• If you neglect this simple fact, that is, living your life in obedience to God’s Word; you may not be able to go far in Christian faith.
• You will not fail in Jesus’ name.
