  1. “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
  2. HE SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED THEM, AND DELIVERED THEM FROM THEIR DESTRUCTIONS."
    Psalm 107:19,20 (NKJV)

• God effects a change through His Word.

  • If you cry onto God, pray, He will answer your prayer by His Word—He will send the Word you need to come out of the problem.
  • You have a responsibility to know the Word sent to you, meant for your deliverance or turn around.
  • If you despised the Word sent to you, you may miss your blessing, answer to your prayer, and it may prolong your captivity.

• Also, if you despised the vessel God has used to convey the Word, you may miss your miracle.

  • The widow at Zarephath got her miracle by receiving the servant of God, Elijah, whom God has sent to her for her deliverance (1 Kings 17:8,9).
  • If you despised the vessel who conveyed the Word of your breakthrough or release, you may stay long in the predicaments.

"By a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved."
Hosea 12:13 (NKJV)

  • You must be discerning, able to know the Word sent for your deliverance and the vessel whom God has sent with the Word.
  • The widow of Zarephath could have been sentimental about the Prophet, Elijah, and the instructions given by him.
IT is unreasonable, ludicrous, and absurd to think the instructions given by Elijah would be carried out by the woman; but she did carry out the instructions, she did not argue with the Prophet, she obeyed to the letter (1 Kings 17:10-16).
  • It was a test on the part of the woman, but she did pass the test, she was discerning enough to know that Elijah was a Prophet of God, and she needed to obey whatever he says: "So she [the widow] went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days" (1 Kings 17:15).
  • If it were some people, they will argue with the man, Elijah, saying, How could you tell me to prepare the only meal left for my son and I for you, you must be a callous and selfish person, insensitive to other people's predicaments?
  • Whenever God wanted to answer your Prayer, He would instruct you to do a particular thing, and as you obeyed, answer to your prayer will surface.
  • What God instructed you to do is a test of faith and obedience, He wanted to know how obedient you are.
  1. "NOW IT CAME TO PASS AFTER THESE THINGS THAT GOD TESTED ABRAHAM, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
  2. Then He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, AND OFFER HIM THERE AS A BURNT OFFERING ON ONE OF THE MOUNTAINS OF WHICH I SHALL TELL YOU."
    Genesis 22:1,2 (NKJV)
  • God was not in need of Abraham's son, He just wanted to know his heart towards Him, God, and how obedient he was.
IF He needed a sacrifice, He would not have asked for Abraham's son, because He gave the son to him in the first place, thus He would not ask Abraham to sacrifice the son to Him.
  • Whenever God asked you to do a particular thing, He did ask you to do it that He may bless you, He would not need anything you give to Him.
  • So whenever He instructed you to give or do a thing, do not hesitate to obey, because it is for your good; He did ask in order to bless you.
  1. "I will not take a bull from your house, nor goats 🐐 out of your folds.
  2. For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
  3. I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.
  4. "IF I WERE HUNGRY, I WOULD NOT TELL YOU, FOR THE WORLD 🌍 IS MINE, AND ALL ITS FULLNESS.
  5. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats 🐐?"
    Psalm 50:9-13 (NKJV)
  • If you failed the test, your predicament would be prolonged. SOME ought to have come out of their problems, but when a test is brought on their ways, in order to be delivered, they failed the test, thus their problems persisted.

• Answer to your prayer will come through His Word, He will give you instructions on what to do.

  • Sensitivity is demanded on your part, to know and identify the Word sent for your change.
  • God saves, heals, transforms, and delivers through His Word, and His Word is dependable, you can apply it in every circumstance of life.
  • It is my prayer that you will NOT miss the day of your visitation.
WHEN God comes looking for you with an answer to your prayer, may you not be absent, in the mighty name of Jesus.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
