“Then the LORD said to Moses, “COME UP TO ME ON THE MOUNTAIN AND BE THERE; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
Exodus 24:12 (NKJV)
“How it came to pass in those days that HE [Jesus] WENT OUT TO THE MOUNTAIN TO PRAY, AND CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER TO GOD."
Luke 6:12 (NKJV)
• Instructions about Ministry work can be received on the Mountain
- Studying THE ministry of Moses and that of the Lord Jesus Christ, one will deduce that both of them always went to the mountains to meet with God (Exodus 24:12,15; Mark 1:35; Luke 6:12).
- Jesus will not do anything without being commanded by God, likewise Moses (John 5:19,30).
- Moses always went to God in order to know what to do whenever the people demanded for a thing (Exodus 15:22-25).
- If God has anything to tell His people, He summons Moses to the mountain 🏔️ in order to give him what to tell them—whatever He has in mind (Exodus 19:20).
• God reveals His mind
- God’s mind is revealed on the mountain.
- A Mountain literally means a place of meeting with God—a solitary place where your attention cannot be distracted (Mark 1:35).
A MOUNTAIN could be a corner of your room.
IT could be a retreat centre (Luke 4:42).
IT could also be a physical mountain or wilderness (Luke 5:16; 6:12).
“YOU WILL SHOW ME THE PATH OF LIFE; IN YOUR PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)
- You should have a place where you regularly meet with God for PRAYERS and fellowship.
- Champions in the Ministry work do not play or joke about their fellowship with God.
LET everything about you centred on God.
LET your sleeping and waking thoughts be on God and His kingdom.
LET God dominate your thoughts, converse with Him, and allow Him in your daily activities.
• Cultivate the habit of praying in the Spirit always (1 Thessalonians 5:17; 1 Corinthians 14:18).
- Praying in tongues always creates an atmosphere of power around you (1 Corinthians 14:2; Jude 20).
THE Awe of God would be around you.
YOU have God’s PRESENCE, an Aura of power that no one would be able to explain.
IN SHORT, people will see God in you, you will look different from other people (Exodus 34:29,30).
• To walk intimately with God:
LET your night time be a part of your day; in other words, do not sleep all night, wake up to meet with God in prayer and fellowship.
WHAT you cannot get or receive in the place of your prayers and fellowships with God, you could not get it in the physical.
HOW your day would be can be determined by what you do with your night time.
IF you disciplined yourself in sleeping in order to wake up, pray and fellowship with God in the night, you will experience a day filled with blessings and benefits (Psalm 68:19).
GOD daily loads us with benefits, and with that, EACH day has sufficient evil in it (Matthew 6:34).
PAUL admonishes us to redeem the time, for the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16).
WHATEVER will happen in the day must have been settled in the realm of the spirit.
GOD has given us power, authority, that whatever we bind on earth 🌎 shall be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19; 18:18).
WHAT has been orchestrated in the kingdom of darkness can be bound, cancelled, not to be, or stand, through our prayers.
• You can avert, through your prayers, what has been ordained in the kingdom of darkness; about you, your loved ones, family, ministry, and all who are identified with you.
- Through prayer, you call to manifest, things that are yours in the spirit realm.
THERE are unclaimed blessings of the saints in the realm of the spirit.
THERE are things God has released to you, but never got to you, because you never prayed, decreed and commanded them to come forth.
"As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations" IN THE PRESENCE OF HIM WHOM HE BELIEVED—GOD, who gives life to the dead AND CALLS THOSE THINGS WHICH DO NOT EXIST AS THOUGH THEY DID."
Romans 4:17 (NKJV)
• If you do not know your right, the devil would want to play on you intelligent—he would want to take advantage of you.
- Also, you need to break the hold of the powers of darkness, to get what God has ordained for you: "No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, UNLESS HE FIRST BINDS THE STRONG MAN. And then he will plunder his house" (Mark 3:27).
- Daniel’s answer-to-prayer from God was withheld by the prince of Persia—the prince of the power of the air (Daniel 10:12-14; Ephesians 2:2).
HE waylaid angel Gabriel sent by God to deliver the answer to Daniel's request or prayer.
DANIEL'S persistence in prayer made God send angel Michael to rescue Gabriel before he could get his answer (Daniel 10:13). - You wrestle in persistent prayers to prevail and fulfil in your assignment (Luke 18:1-8; Ephesians 6:12).
• Spend time with God
- Discipline yourself to get out of bed 🛏️ in order to pray.
Go to bed early; early to bed is early to rise, it is a common philosophy. - Plan your day.
DELEGATE what other people can do, and do what no one else can do for you: no one can do your study for you, likewise your prayer—You need to go to God personally, even if others are praying for you (Acts 6:4). - Avoid things that are not relevant with your assignment, concentrate on what God has instructed you to do (1 Timothy 4:7; 2 Timothy 2:23).
- Develop your skill, improve on how you do whatever you are doing, and do it better.
You will not fail in Jesus’ name.
Peace!
