"HE MADE KNOWN HIS WAYS TO MOSES, His Acts to the children of Israel."
Psalm 103:7 (NKJV)
"SHOW ME YOUR WAYS, O LORD; TEACH ME YOUR PATHS."
Psalm 25:4 (NKJV)
• If you do not have God's knowledge, that is, you do know Him; His ways, His doings, and how He does things—His dealings with those who are His. It might be difficult for you to commit your life to Him fully and live a submissive life.
- Someone who does not have the knowledge and the understanding of God, committing his or her life to Him fully and living a submissive life, might be a little bit challenging.
- A life of Unquestioning commitment and submission to God is of paramount importance.
- To be submissive completely, totally, to God and be committed to Him unreservedly; you would have to know and be convinced that He is faithful and trustworthy: "... FOR HE WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, AND THAT He IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM" (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV).
- The knowledge to do this can be acquired through the study of the Word of God, the experiences of the faithfulness of God, or the doings of God in your walk with Him, and the enlightenment you receive through the Holy Spirit in God's Word.
- The Holy Spirit came to help the believers; teach us, show us things to come, remind us things we have been taught, comfort us in tribulations, and be our companion in our journey on earth—in our walk with God As His:
16 "AND I [Jesus] WILL PRAY THE FATHER, AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER HELPER [Comforter], THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOREVER— 17 "THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, FOR HE DWELLS WITH YOU AND WILL BE IN YOU. 26 " BUT the Helper [Comforter], the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My [Jesus'] name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, AND BRING TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE ALL THINGS THAT I SAID TO YOU" (John 14:16-18,26 NKJV).
READ: John 16:13,14 - If you give yourself to the study of God's Word, fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, observe or pay attention to the doings of God in your life, and the lives of other people, the Believers around you who live for God: "FLEE ALSO YOUTHFUL LUSTS; BUT PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS, FAITH, LOVE, PEACE WITH THOSE WHO CALL ON THE LORD OUT OF A PURE HEART" (2 Timothy 2:22 NKJV).
YOU will be able to know about God's ways and mannerisms—His pattern of doing things. - With such knowledge of Him which you have had or acquired, you should be able to commit your life completely to Him, submit to Him unreservedly.
- God desires our unreserved commitments and submissions, but many would not give Him. It is not that they could not do it, but they would not.
• Many shy away from the life of total commitment and submissiveness.
- Any number of Believers know the truth of the Bible, but they are not willing to live in line with the truth (James 1:22-25).
- They do not want to pay the price that It takes, or involves, in living by the truth. The Believers are in two categories:
(i) Some do not have the knowledge, and the understanding of the Truth.
(ii) While in the second group, there are those who had the knowledge, but would not want to commit their lives to the practice of the truth totally.
a. They do not want to live the Truth.
b. They want to have their ways.
c. They want to do whatever they like and think to be right in their own sights.
d. They are not willing to Acknowledge God in all their ways, and they prove to be wise in their own eyes:
5 TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, And LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; 6 IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT [make smooth or straight] YOUR PATHS. 7 DO NOT BE WISE in your OWN EYES; FEAR THE LORD AND DEPART FROM EVIL" (Proverbs 3:5-7 NKJV).
• Some people could not commit their lives to God totally because:
a. They do not have the knowledge of God.
b. They do not trust in God's faithfulness and His Trustworthiness.
c. Some had the thoughts that God is not dependable, reliable, or stable. They want to believe that God is precarious.
THEY think God can change any time, He is not predictable. He is impetuous. His mood can change anytime and He is precarious—likely to fail or cause someone to fall.
THE usual questions in the minds of such are:
a. What If God failed?
b. What If He disappointed one?
c. What If He changed His Mind.
d. What If He failed to deliver in His Promises.
e. What If other events come on boards, the unforseen circumstances or the unexpected happened.
• With all these in their minds:
- They resulted to scheming, cheating, deceiving, and the devising of other possible means of having their ways; to get whatever they want, instead of waiting on God to have His Way or allow Him to do whatever they want in His own Way.
a. Some even went to the extent of looking for power from the devil, the kingdom of darkness, to help in getting whatever they want (1 Samuel 28:7).
b. Some believe God is too slow and His ways are too difficult.
c. Some believe God is a perfectionist and He is difficult to please. That one cannot please Him.
d. God's demands, or standards, are too High. That His Principles are too stringent.
• The Truth:
(i) The way of God might be slow and difficult, but it is still the Best.
(ii) His standard might be high, but it is not unattainable.
- Note: whoever has the love for truth, goodness and righteousness, would have to pass through certain Things.
- Your love for truth, goodness and righteousness, would help you in committing yourself to know more about God, have the knowledge of Him; and be committed and submissive to Him unreservedly.
- Many would not want to pay the necessary price needed, to have this kind of life, yet they professed to love the truth, goodness and Righteousness.
- Their profession is not consistent with their ways of life: "THEY PROFESS TO KNOW GOD, BUT IN WORKS THEY DENY HIM, BEING ABOMINABLE [detestable], DISOBEDIENT, AND DISQUALIFIED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK" (Titus 1:16 NKJV).
- God would not take such a person serious. God would rather see the person as a joker.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any sickness in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
Peace!
