- "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
- "AGAIN I SAY TO YOU THAT IF TWO OF YOU AGREE ON EARTH CONCERNING ANYTHING THAT THEY ASK, IT WILL BE DONE FOR THEM BY MY FATHER IN HEAVEN.
- "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
Matthew 18:18-20 (NKJV)
• The above Bible passage talks about the authority vested in the Church of Christ, Or a group of believers who come together for fellowship and prayers.
WHATEVER the church Or believers as small as two in number bind or lock on earth would be bound or locked in heaven.
IT means when we come together as believers to do a thing IN agreement, we would achieve much, rather than having it done individually, even in the matters of prayer (Leviticus 26:8; Joshua 23:10).
"HOW COULD ONE CHASE A THOUSAND, AND TWO PUT TEN THOUSAND TO FLIGHT, UNLESS THEIR ROCK HAD SOLD THEM, and the LORD had surrendered them?"
Deuteronomy 32:30 (NKJV)
• When believers come together in oneness and unison, the result they get is always great and amazing, because Jesus promises to be in their midst in such a gathering (Matthew 18:20).
- The result of a husband and wife team who come together in agreement IN prayer would also be amazing.
LIKEWISE if two believers who are of like passions pray together, such would experience outstanding results on whatever they have prayed on. - There are different kinds of PRAYERS in the Bible: Prayer of petition, prayer of intercession, prayer of consecration, prayer of faith, battling prayer, prayer of supplication, prophetic prayer, prayer of agreement, and others.
- Somebody said seventy to eighty percent of the believers' needs Or problems can be taken care of Or solved through the prayer of agreement, and I want to concur with it, because I have had practical knowledge Or experience of it.
• Every believer in Christ Jesus should endeavour to raise three altars of Prayer:
CONGREGATIONAL ALTAR OF PRAYER:
EVERY believer should identify with a local Church and always be present when meetings are scheduled, and that of prayer meetings.
THERE are issues of life that you may not be able to handle alone in prayer, but under the corporate anointing such issues would always be settled Or solved by God (Acts 4:23,24,31).
"For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them."
Matthew 18:20 (Amp.)
FAMILY ALTAR OF PRAYER:
This is a situation where the family comes together to pray on issues about the family and things that bothered.
EVERY believer who is married should raise a family altar of prayer when every member of the family prayed together in agreement on every issue of concern, and supplicate for others as well.
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, BEING WATCHFUL TO THIS END WITH ALL PERSEVERANCE AND SUPPLICATION FOR ALL THE SAINTS."
Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)
AND THEN PRIVATE ALTAR OF PRAYER:
A time of prayer when you talk to God personally about whatever you have in your mind, including what you plan to do.
THIS prayer altar should be serviced regularly, daily, and without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
YOU talk to God like a son or daughter does with his or her father.
GOD yearns for such a prayer Time, it is a time of fellowshipping WITH HIM: a time to talk with Him without being anxious Or fretful, it is a time to pour out your heart to God—get whatever that bothers off your chest.
A TIME to talk with Him intimately and passionately.
IF you cultivate the habits of having such a time with God, you cannot but always have His listenable ears.
JESUS when on earth usually HAS such a time of prayer and fellowship with God the Father (Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16; 6:12).
"Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, AND CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER TO GOD."
Luke 6:12 (NKJV)
• Every prayer altar mentioned above should be raised and regularly serviced by every believer, albeit, the emphasis in this piece is the prayer of agreement which talks about congregational altar of prayer and family altar of prayer.
DEVELOP the attitude of praying with your spouse and the children.
THROUGH prayer of agreement that you pray with your FAMILY, you can make things happen, and as well as cancel whatever may be contrary to God's counsel for you, the family, and others.
"I tell you the truth, WHATEVER YOU FORBID ON EARTH WILL BE FORBIDDEN IN HEAVEN, AND WHATEVER YOU PERMIT ON EARTH WILL BE PERMITTED IN HEAVEN."
Matthew 18:18 (NLT)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
