One important reason the Holy Communion was initiated by our Jesus Christ is shown to us in 1 Corinthians 11:24. When the Lord Jesus we should partake in the Holy Communion regularly in remembrance of Him, it is because He knows what it took to die for humanity; He wouldn't want that feat to be forgotten.
There is the propensity to forget the love of our Lord Jesus Christ which led to His death on the cross and resurrection. The reason for backsliding may not be detached from a Christian's loss of memory concerning the pain of death which the Lord Jesus suffered for our salvation. The story is told of a miserable hunter who by the reason of grace became a king, though with a warning that he shouldn't go out of his boundaries by entering into a room prohibited to kings.
Severer year after, he felt that he was being irrelevant moderation and chose to enter the forbidding room only to return to the old miserable state he had been in as a hunter. This is what occurs when Christians forget where they are coming from. The Holy Communion should be taken as often as possible to make us remember the death of our Savior and the reason for His death.
The word of God says we shouldn't be forgetful hearers but doers of the work. We declared the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus without having to preach it when we gather to celebrate it through the Holy Communion.
Everyone is forced to assess himself or herself so that he or she doesn't eat to condemnation, according to 1 Corinthians 11:23-29, Paul the apostle wrote further that we should remember that the Lord Jesus was raised from the dead after His love and death; so that if we also remain in His love, we will reign with Him.
