11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:11-13
As believers, we have come to know and acknowledge that our lives depend on God, and how much we know Him and follow His precepts. The sacrifice of Jesus gives us direct access to God, in seeking Him for help, comfort, counsel and for direction.

What Does It Mean to Seek God?
- Seeking God means striving to know Him more, and to walk in His ways.
Moses is a good example of a man who lived his whole life seeking God. He was not like the rest of the Israelites, who were only interested in the miracles, healing, and signs. Moses was more interested in a relationship with the Most High. This made him to understand God's ways - His heart cry, intentions etc. and he released himself to God's service.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Psalm 103:7
- Seeking God means hunger for fellowship with Him.
Like best friends or lovers miss each other when physically out of reach, a man who seeks God wants to always be with Him, rubbing minds, and even making plans together.
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God -
Psalm 42:1
- Seeking God means running to Him for direction.
The Scriptures describe David as a man who runs every of his intentions by God before execution, especially when he is about to go for a battle. He would often get war strategies from God.
So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?”
And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.” -II Samuel 5:19
Seeking God entails building a friendly relationship with God, speaking with Him like friends, learning at His feet, and walking in His ways.
