Text: Proverbs 23:1-14

Observe the warning in vs.1-3. Be careful with free meals from rich people. It often comes with strings attached - to influence or bribe you. It may lead or force people to do what they did not plan to do (compromise conviction). What are you to do to avoid being bribed or influenced to do what you did not plan to do (v.2)? Instead of being overcome by the aroma and appetizing appearance of the food, think twice before accepting the offer. Control your desire so you will not be trapped or enticed to lower your guard.

Vs.4-11 show how to handle threats to life, integrity and relationships. Have you experienced any one of them in recent time? It is useless chasing fleeting earthly treasures. The way to prevent wealth from flying away is to invest it. We should also store it in heaven as we give it to the poor, Christian ministries and worthy causes (Luke 12:33-34).

Find out how you can gain knowledge and save children from destruction (vs.12-14). Willingness to listen and pay attention to what others are doing is a strength and ways to learn and grow spiritually.

This topic is really broad in many ways but it's just as simple as you've stated it.
Being patient with our words, with others, with our prayers, our jobs and all that.
Patience is a great virtue of any Christian and I think it should be practiced by all. It isn't easy like I always say because we are nothing but only humans full of flaws but with God on our side, everything will be fine with us.
Thanks for your words
