Playing with fire - experiments with a fire performer

in hive-108913 •  5 years ago

I recently got asked to help another photographer achieve some long exposure shots with a professional fire artist. I found the best settings for these was to use around a one second (or slightly less) exposure and use rear curtain sync on the two Godox strobes we were using.

Note to self: If I get a chance to do this again, make sure it's at night in complete darkness!! Trying to do these shots in dusk light in the middle of summer is not necessarily a good idea....

About me: I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
