Obviously we cannot see what the sun has been doing for thousands of years, unfortunately the study of the sun is something quite recent, the study in detail I mean, the study of flare activity, of sunspots, sunspots have not been around for long. perhaps two or three centuries at most, but what flares are and the study of solar storms is a very recent thing.
But to know what can happen to the sun, what has been done was to study more than 56,000 stars similar to the sun, in this way it is as if we had the sun multiplied by 56,000 times and this study reveals that the super flares that are linked to tremendous radiation explosions that can cause catastrophes in all our electronic and technology systems as they can occur every 100 to 200 years and that is more than what we were thinking.

We know that at least five extreme Super Flare events have been identified during the history of the Earth at least in the last 12,000 years and the most violent of them was, from the data we have, I'm talking about data that is collected from that remains recorded in the bark of trees or in ice records, that is, physical records that affect trees or the data left in the ice and the most violent of these storms seems to have been that of the year 775 AD. , although I can cite research from this same year that says that there is one from 7,000 to 8,000 years ago that was even more powerful than the one from 775.
If this happens every 100 to 200 years, how come in 12,000 years only five have been identified? I can't figure it out, and this happens because we have two positive factors that are good news; The first is that a flare that expels an enormous coronal mass, which is a cloud of plasma that is in the end what hits the Earth and causes the solar storm, does not have to hit us, luckily we are a small target and we are at about 150 million kilometers from the Sun and that flare can even occur on the other side of the sun, so it doesn't always hit us.
It can happen every 200 years, but if it happens on that occasion we are not in the correct position for it to hit us, because we have freed ourselves; The other interesting factor that works in our favor is that it seems that many of these super flares, according to a 2021 investigation, tend to arise from places near the poles, not from the Equator, that means that they are not launched in our direction, We are in the same plane, but we do not know what happens at the poles of the sun, on that side we have had good luck.
