The Centrifugal Hypergravity and Interdisciplinary Experiment Facility known as CHIEF, is a colossal structure located in Hangzhou Zhejiang province, this complex houses the planet's largest hypergravity centrifuge capable of generating forces thousands of times more intense than Earth's gravity.
Designed to address complex challenges CHIEF is a multidisciplinary platform that will enable advances in engineering, materials science, even in the exploration of extreme geological processes, the local government has already described the facility as an essential pillar in the advancement of hypergravity research occurs. when forces greater than the earth's standard gravity are applied, or velocity variation change of 9.8 m/s to one gram per second.
