A few days ago a letter signed by former and current Blue Origin workers was published where very serious things are said and if all this information is true it could be the end of this company in the letter that talks about the insecurity of the rockets, the exploitation . workers' labor, harassment of women and massive job resignations.

Sera que lo que afirman los trabajadores de Blue Origin preocupa Jeff Bezos

We are a group of 21 former and current employees of Blue Origin. Many of us have spent our careers dreaming of helping to launch a crewed rocket into space and seeing it safely touch back down on Earth. But when Jeff Bezos flew to space this July, we did not share his elation. Instead, many of us watched with an overwhelming sense of unease. Some of us couldn’t bear to watch at all.

Blue Origin’s mission statement features prominently on its website, and it’s a lofty one: “enabling a future where millions of people are living and working in space to benefit Earth.” All of us joined Blue Origin eager to innovate and to open access to space for the benefit of humanity. We believe exploring the possibilities for human civilization beyond Earth is a necessity. But if this company’s culture and work environment are a template for the future Jeff Bezos envisions, we are headed in a direction that reflects the worst of the world we live in now, and sorely needs to change.

Blue Origin currently has more than 3,600 employees spanning six states and several countries. However, in the company Bezos has created, the workforce dedicated to establishing this future “for all” is mostly male and overwhelmingly white. One-hundred percent of the senior technical and program leaders are men.

All these happened after the Blue Origin project tried to compete with Space X and the project was delayed for 2 more years, so what is happening with Blue Origin! Does this letter that the workers have signed has something to do with the delay that is happening in the company?

Somehow when the operations in the construction of the New Glem rocket who, so to speak, the competitor of the Space X rocket with the difference that the starship rocket will be used for interplanetary flight and the New Glem its purpose will be to carry a large load to Earth orbit. But it turns out that this rocket was initially going to start operating this year 2020 but everything was delayed and the project was moved to 2022 but workers have signed that this rocket will not be ready for 2022 if not for 2024.

So why the delay?

The delay is due to the fact that the BE -4 engines are not ready and it is due to the fact that 21 of the company's workers promote that the employment status of the company is dangerous and sexist behavior is perpetrated or ignored by senior managers and accuses directly to Jeff Bezos that his only priority is to compete with other billionaires, that is, Richard Branson and Elon Musk to keep up. Bezos made some decisions that seriously compromised the safety of the rockets in order to win this private space race.

If you read the article that is above you will realize that the accusations are very serious and even the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has already formally opened Blue Origin to see if the flight that Jeff Bezos made into space there were any security problems that they were not communicated and endangered this mission and its crew, but from what is known this flight went perfectly well but what is said through the workers is that Jeff Bezos is clear that his rocket ships are unsafe but to demonstrate to the world that what he says is incorrect he got on one of them with the luck that everything went well.

What do you think! Do you believe that the letter of accusations against the company Blue Origin all these facts are true? And what do you think is expected of Jeff Bezos' company in the future? Leave your comment.
