Its scientific name: Ambrosia cumanensis Kunth. The most common: Altamisa, Artemisa, Altamiz, Artamisa.

It is a herbaceous perennial plant of 1 to 2 m (rarely 2.5 m), with woody roots. The leaves are 5 to 20 cm long, green, pinnate, with thick white tomentose hairs on the underside. The erect stem has a purplish red tint.

As a natural remedy: it is used to combat malaria, among other health problems (digestive, liver, flu or allergic, among others). The whole plant is used, but especially the flower bouquets.
