This insect is called as "scarlet Lily Beetle" or "Red Scarlet Lily Beetle" or "Lily Leaf Beetle". This type of beetles are eating the leaflets, trunk of a plant, sprouts, and blossoms, of Lillian, checkered-lily and other groups of the lily-family Liliales. It is laying its ovum frequently on Lilium and Fritillaria families.

How do scarlet lily beetles be killed?

When these beetles are sprayed with soap-water it will die.
Otherwise mix olive-oil with some water and spray this mixture on these beetles in order to eliminate them easily. These beetles usually can be seen under the leaf of Lily plant. So you have to spray the Neem-oil which is the best solution to eradicate these beetles along with their ovum. Try out this method at least once a week, so that there will be no insects or ovum completely.

How to eradicate Scarlet Llily Beetle clearly?

At the moment you come across these beetles, collect them along with their grubs and ovum. Adult beetles can be easily captured by placing a newspaper under the plant and push them from the plants. Then immediately crush them under your feet without delay otherwise the beetles will move through the air quickly.

Are Scarlet Lily Beetles threatening?

Scarlet Lily Beetles and their larva usuually pounce on plants, leaf, blossoms, and seed-pods of Lily. As a result this action causes extreme destruction. Grown up Lily beetles make boreholes in the leaf and sepal, at the same duration the larva most carefully move on further from the tip of the leaves to the stems of the plant systematically.

How does a Lily Beetle put its ovum?

Eggs are usually getting laid in smaller bunches at the bottom of the leaves during the month of April to midsummer. When the eggs are hatched the larvae start feeding on the leaves. After getting fed well, they transform to the next stage of becoming a pupa.
