The Dahlias are known to be tuberous-rooted tender perennials planted in the spring, but these colorful flowers may also bloom in mid-summer and can stay bright in your garden well into early-winter/mid-frost. To be quite honest, the Dahlias are at their best later in their growth. Dahlias come in as many colors as you can imagine and even range in size, from two-inch ‘lollipops’ all the way up to ten-inch giants. one can even grow four or five-feet tall.
